If we walk in darkness we are not being led by Jesus. There can be no darkness in Jesus because He is pure and holy. Our goal should be to grow in the knowledge of Him daily and have discernment about things that are not from Him. We must flee all things that hurt our relationship with God.

This is a tough balance for churches. If they listened to every complaint and changed what people wanted, they would be like a wave tossed about the sea, never moving in the direction God is calling them. The critical spirit is never satisfied. It thrives off power, give it an inch and it will take a mile. Churches do have an obligation, however, to listen to people who are genuine in their questions and who need discipleship.

This can be a tough one for churches to navigate. I feel we can have events and programs that are engaging without compromising the Word of God. The problem comes when we dilute the Word of God to fit our sin.
